Sheila Harris has over 30 years of experience in community and economic development activities. She has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors ranging from having lead a local nonprofit, community based organization to being the founding Director of the Arizona Department of Housing. Her housing work experience includes developing and funding shelters, transitional, permanent supportive, and affordable housing. Dr. Harris understands that housing does not occur in isolation, but is a major backbone of the community and therefore must be an integral part of cities and towns. Understanding of community and economic development principals are critical to the success of housing development and our communities.
